California Online Poker Bill Shelved Despite Loss of OpponentsNO Deposit bonus $43

Intrastate Internet poker is probably not regulated by the state of California anytime soon, as proponents couldn't come to agreement about licensing requirements.

Play Now at Rome Casino With supporters far outweighing opponents, the bill regulating California intrastate online gambling seemed a lock to pass. But, with varying interests unable to provide a single viable plan, the proposal to permit instate online poker operators did not receive a vote in committee, and can probably be left off this year's agenda.

California lawmakers are desperate for revenue to prop up the state's budget, and taxing online poker seems an option that would raise almost one billion dollars annually. But tribal leaders and card room operators already licensed within the state balked at allowing a possibility of outdoor competition, although they'd supported Internet poker under their control.

State Senator Roderick Wright, who had proposed the bill which might let California residents gamble online with operators licensed inside state boundaries, withdrew the measure, saying it still needed work. He opined it might probably be past the top of the year before the bill would again be brought forward.

Leaders from the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, the tribe that initiated discussions of intrastate Internet poker, objected to the wording of the bill, which they felt left open the likelihood that Las Vegas gaming companies and foreign online casino operators could claim a license to serve California.

The Poker Players Alliance took the opposing point, wanting such established online poker operators as Full Tilt and PokerStars to have the precise to bid for licensing. PPA spokesmen also denounced a clause that will make gambling with unlicensed online casinos a crime.

Until a consensus a few of the involved parties can also be reached, it seems that California could be stalled in its try to avoid the UIGEA and establish intrastate Internet poker operations.

PCA 2016: SirWatts slays the dragon as Mike Watson claims PCA gloryNO Deposit bonus $43

Mike Watson: PCA 2016 Main Event champion

The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) Main Event is firmly established as probably the most coveted titles in poker. It doesn't come easily; it attracts one of the vital toughest fields within the game.

This week on the Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island within the Bahamas, Mike Watson, a 31-year-old professional poker player from St John's in Newfoundland, Canada, outlasted 926 players within the 2016 field, that is greater than 99 percent of it.

But then Watson, known by the moniker "SirWatts", faced down Anthony Gregg, a person who's nicknamed "End Boss".

Gregg, 29, from Columbia, Maryland, earned the nickname from poker peers who decided he was the hardest player in any field. He was on the PCA final table for the third time. Nobody else was there greater than once. It was therefore perfectly fitting that Watson would have to defeat Gregg in poker's version of the myths of yore: SirWatts versus the top Boss for the primary major title of the year.

At around about 11.25pm within the Imperial Ballroom of this sprawling resort within the Caribbean, Watson struck the general blow. SirWatts left the top Boss slain. It earned Watson $728,325, taking his lifetime live tournament earnings beyond $9 million. It also happened a decade after Steve Paul-Ambrose won here, the person Watson considers his mentor.

"To be exactly ten years after Steve Paul-Ambrose won is a huge coincidence," Watson said. "THERE HAS BEEN a time when four of us, including Mike McDonald, used to play online poker in his basement."

He added: "EVEN IF I've had success up to now it feels great to win. It has been some time I final tabled any big tournament with nearly 1,000 players... The PCA is a brilliant event, it's usually had a large field and it's definitely up there with one of the vital prestigious events."

For Gregg, it was another near miss within the tournament he continues to dominate. He have been runner up before--to Poorya Nazari in 2009--and was sixth in 2012. But don't weep for him. He won $612,175 for second today and is now beyond $10 million in his career.

"It's somewhat of a bummer to not win for sure," Gregg said. "But I DO KNOW I needed to needed to run really expert simply to get here. I DO NOT know [what makes him such a success on the PCA.] I FEEL it's only one of these things - maybe there is something within the water. But it's usually this sort of great begin to the year, and that i think I bring numerous great energy over here, and that actually motivates me to play my best."

After playing late last night, the tournament resumed at 1pm today with six players--pretty much they all superstars. Then after completing the photographic formalities, they settled on the table behind the next stacks:

Final table players (l-r): Tony Gregg, Phillip McAllister, Mike Watson, Toby Lewis, Randy Kritzer, Vladimir Troyanovskiy

Randy Kritzer was the one recreational player a few of the established poker sharks, but he had made a very good job of having within the heads of even one of the most top tournament pros this week. It was hardly surprising. Back in Greensboro, N.C., Krtizer is a neurosurgeon, a natural within the high-pressure environment of the operating theatre, with much more than millions of bucks at stake.

The vacationing doctor was an admitted amateur, more acquainted with kitchen table games with buddies--"That was sandlot baseball and this was like they threw me into the sector Series," Kritzer said. It didn't mean he wasn't bitterly disappointed when his latest thrill ride came to a halt in sixth. "I'm sorry it's over," he said. "I TRULY just wish to play more."

A crestfallen Randy Kritzer

Kritzer was the primary man out today, getting the last of his chips in with top pair--he held Q♠T♣ on a flop of 9♥6♦Q♥--but lost when Phillip McAllister's 8♠7♥ improved to a flush way to the 4♥ turn and 8♥ river. Kritzer earned $153,920 for sixth, and did his best to console himself with the cash. "I'm so let down at this time but I'll recover from it in slightly bit, it has been an excellent experince," he said.

Randy Kritzer heads home on the end of a spectacular run

Kritzer's departure left Vladimir Troyanovskiy because the only player over 40 remaining on the final table, however the poker world has long been aware that this Russian can match any of the young guns for endurance, tricks and talents. Originally of yesterday, Troyanovskiy was a number of the short stacks, but doubled up twice to stick alive.

It gave him enough to cruise to the general six, or even to take over the chip lead at one point in yesterday's late stages. "I wasn't petrified of anyone on the final table," Troyanovskiy said, but one suspects others wouldn't say the similar about him.

Troyanovskiy is a veteran of umpteen Super High Roller finals, but said that he considered his first appearance at a first-rate Event final bettered that you just". need more skill on the whole Event," Troyanovskiy said. "It's six days of poker. Within the High Roller you wish to have less skill."

It was the entire more disappointing for the person from St Petersburg that he couldn't get much going at his first Main Event final. He lost an important pot to Mike Watson and dwindled to about 2 million, only about six big blinds, after which defended his big unaware of Tony Gregg's raise with 7♥3♥.

The disappointment hits Vladimir Troyanovskiy

When he picked up a flush draw at the A♣4♥8♥ flop, it gave the look of a great time to risk everything. Gregg's A♠Q♣ faded all of Troyanovskiy's outs, and that sent the general Russian to the money cage in fifth. He won $207,940 this time around, but still seeks a big title. He said he'll go searching for it on the Aussie Millions later this month.

Elimination Vladimir Troyanovskiy 2016 PCA Main Event Final Table Giron 8JG0691.jpg

Next stop Australia for Troyanovskiy

Toby Lewis doesn't yet have the similar string of live results as Troyanovskiy, but he does have an EPT title. He picked up his trophy in Vilamoura in Season 10 and therefore came to the overall seeking the second one of his career, a feat achieved only by another player.

Lewis had already had a superlative tournament this week. He was the chip leader on the end of the outlet day and then, like Troyanovskiy, recovered from a brief stack yesterday to visit battle today well stacked. But there'll always be plenty of flips to be able to need winning to head the entire option to the highest spot in a tournament comparable to this, and Lewis came out at the wrong side of a huge one against Gregg.

Lewis's A♥K♦ couldn't out-race Gregg's 9♣9♦ when the latter was facing elimination. It left Lewis short and shoving from the small blind with K♠9♠. Watson was lurking within the big blind with A♣J♦ and picked him off.

The run-out was cruel. Lewis hit a king at the turn to provide him hope, but Watson paired his queen at the river. It meant Lewis was out in fourth for $267,340 and the quest for the second one title continues.

A king at the river ends Lewis's run

"I'm absolutely pleased with the way in which things went," Lewis said. "I played my best and tried to do in addition to possible...[The final table] was very strong. There has been just one amateur on the table and he knew what was happening and was tough as well."

Lewis offered his way to the supporters who had railed him throughout and promised them a slice of his winnings once they hit the bars and restaurants tonight. "I WILL go have a couple of drinks tonight now and luxuriate in the win," he said.

The absence of Lewis meant that McAllister was the lone representative of the uk within the final three. Although relatively new to the live arena, McAllister, who plays online as "Grindation" from his home in Mexico, became an instant superstar this week when he played the hand of the tournament on Day 4.

McAllister already had an enormous stack when he managed to runner-runner right into a royal flush at the television table, after which find his opponent, Fabian Chauriye, betting into him. "IT IS SO rare to even get it and get it in any such deep run for a large pot, it was great," McAllister said.

McAllister enjoyed every minute of his progress throughout the tournament, most of which he viewed from behind a monstrous stack. Or even when his run resulted in third--earning him $356,020, that's the most important score of his career to date--he remained upbeat. "IT HAS BEEN an excellent day, I mean I got $350K," he said. "IT IS A little bittersweet as it would've been nice to take the trophy home but I'm still happy."

Elimination Phillip McAllister 2016 PCA Main Event Final Table Giron 8JG0749.jpg

Phillip McAllister: Vanquished in third

He actually got a little bit unlucky to not get the risk to play heads up for the title. Sitting with a stack of comparable size to Gregg's three-handed, he was bullied out of a pot by Watson's five-bet jam and lost a 3rd of his stack. (Watson played it beautifully; he had only king-queen.)

But then, after following contemporary trends to limp from the small blind, McAllister was delighted to look Watson moving all in from the massive blind. McAllister was massive together with his J♥J♦ compared with Watson's 8♣7♣. If the flop was cruel--T♣5♣7♠--the turn was crueller. It came 3♣ and Watson's flush signalled the tip for McAllister.

"The table so was tough," he said. "I've never done anything like this. I'm lost for words."

NEIL2018 PCA2016 Phillip McAllister Neil Stoddart.jpg

On balance: Brilliant again for McAllister

With that, there have been two. And for all of the sensational talent of the wonderful four who had just left, few would argue that a match between Gregg and Watson represented two of the very fiercest competitors in world poker.

When they went heads up, Watson held a lead of 17.7 million to 9.875 million. But never has it been more clear that two players respect one another's game completely than after they asked to take a look at the numbers and agreed on an equity deal immediately. It meant that Watson banked $695,325 and Gregg $612,175, with $33,000 still to play for.

...and quickly conclude with a handshake

There was no argument and no attempts to squeeze out a couple of extra dollars. Only a handshake after which a heads-up battle to figure out who would hoist the trophy.

Both players had both the chips and the sport to make for an additional epic heads up battle within the Bahamas. After the titanic struggle between Dominik Panka and Mike McDonald two years ago, there has been every chance things could go on forever. But because it turned out, Watson's momentum never deserted him, even through a few hard-fought hours.

Heads up between Gregg and Watson

Eventually, Gregg committed all his chips on a flop of 2♥8♥6♥ holding A♠8♣, which was top pair. But Watson had a huge draw along with his 7♥4♠ and collected much more outs at the 7♠ turn. The 5♥ at the river filled both his straight and his flush--and, more significantly, the title.

The European Poker Tour now heads to Dublin. Watson, meanwhile, heads back to Camelot, the beast slain.

Mr. Shanish knocks out four in a row to capture Sunday Warm-Up Title!NO Deposit bonus $43

Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for sunday-warmup-promo1.jpg The Sunday Warm-Up continued to blaze hotter and warmer because the weather got colder this November weekend, with a whopping $925,600 within the prize pool. 4,628 players bellied as much as the virtual felt to take their shot on the massive payout, and the highest 675 finishers got paid for his or her efforts. Of course, the large money was concentrated on the final table, so after rather less than nine hours of grueling poker, the nine survivors gathered 'round the overall table.

warmup 11.29.jpg

Action was tentative to begin off, with players avoiding any major confrontations within the first few hands, but because the blinds and antes grew, the quick stacks needed to take their shots to double up simply to stay alive. Melano26 put his previous few chips within the middle with A♠-8♠ and located a caller in CruSader1981. Big stack angevert then moved all in excessive to isolate, and CruSader1981 got out of how. Angevert was ahead with J♦-J♠, and the flop of J♥-7♠-Q♣ left melano26 needing to catch runner-runner perfect to stick alive. The 2♥ at the turn meant that melano26 was drawing dead, and when the meaningless 6♠ rolled off at the river, melano26 was busted in 9th place ($7,404.80).

Floes came into the overall table because the second-shortest stack, and it was only a few hands after melano26's elimination when floes open-shoved from the small blind with A♦-5♣. It was a great time for the move, with a host of dead blinds and antes within the pot, but Mr. Shanish aroused from sleep with A♣-J♣ within the big blind and made the simple call. Already a dominant favorite, Mr. Shanish took final control at the flop because it came down 9♦-3♥-J♥. Running nines at the turn and river gave Mr. Shanish a whole house, and gave floes 8th place money to the tune of $11,750.00.

Bahneyyy lost most of his stack in an enormous hand earlier on the final table, but hung on for a couple of more orbits before he got all of it in preflop with A♠-5♣ against CruSader1981's A♣-9♠. The board did nothing to assist Bahneyyy, running out 8♣-J♣-2♥-3♣-9♥, and CruSader1981 picked up some much-needed chips as Bahneyyy busted in 7th place ($20,826).

CruSader1981 played his short stack well, but he eventually found quite a lot of outs he couldn't fade when he went out in 6th place ($30,082) by the hands of angevert on this hand.

After a lengthy period of five-handed jousting, one misstep by cspdealer left him watching the sport from the sidelines after busting in 5th place ($39,338). The aggressive Mr. Shanish opened for a raise from the button, and cspdealer re-raised from the large blind with K♦-J♠. Mr. Shanish moved all in over the top, and cspdealer called, only to search out he was dominated by Mr. Shanish's A♠-J♣. The flop hit both players because it came down A♣-K♣-9♥, but Mr. Shanish's top pair was well prior to cspdealer's middle pair. The Q♥ at the turn gave cspdealer few more outs to stick alive, however the Q♣ at the river ended his tournament.

After losing a large pot to double up the short-stacked $saxo$, Mr. Shanish came right back at the very next hand to bust rivermanl in 4th place ($52,296.40). Rivermanl moved all in preflop from the small blind on a steal with Q♠-5♠, but Mr. Shanish found J♣-J♥ within the big blind and made the straightforward call. The flop of T♣-7♥-7♣ helped neither player, however the 5♣ at the turn gave rivermanl a couple of more how you can survive. None of these ways included the T♦, so when that fell at the river, there have been only three.

With the stacks exceptionally close, the general three survivors took a couple of moments to talk about a care for. the stacks almost even, the players selected an excellent chop of the remainder money, with $10,000 left within the middle for the eventual champion. That locked up $106,468.22 for every player, an effective day's work by almost any standard. With their six-figure payday in hand, the rest three players settled in to duke it out for the last $10K.

It only took a couple of minutes of folding before a large confrontation brewed up between our three survivors. The ever-aggressive Mr. Shanish opened for a raise from the small blind with A♦-9♥, and $saxo$ moved all in excessive with 3♥-3♠. The race was on because the flop came down 7♥-8♠-Q♥, and $saxo$ had faded the overcards. The 2♥ gave both players a flush draw, and the 4♥ at the river gave Mr. Shanish the larger flush to send $saxo$ home in 3rd place.

Heads up play lasted only three hands, and Mr. Shanish won they all to secure his extra $10,000 and the Sunday Warm-Up title. The last hand went down like this -

When the dust cleared, Mr. Shanish's aggressive play had locked up the last $10K at the table and made a $116,468.22 payday for himself. Congratulations to Mr. Shanish and all our Sunday Warm-Up players!

MicroMillions 6: TOFF7 tops the sphere in Event #84 ($8.80 NL Hold'em)NO Deposit bonus $43

It was a sneaky victory.

TOFF7 started the overall nine because the short stack and would reprise that role several times inside the final table.

Our eventual champion started six, four and three-handed play because the shortstack and went into the heads-up match with a 2-to-1 chip defecit.

But TOFF7 always doubled up when necessary. Then, within the final few hands of play, TOFF7 came out of the wordwoorks and toppled over waytoray, who had dominated nearly all of the general table.

Aside from waytoray, TOFF7 outlasted a field of 11,478 players. All of them paid $8.80 a work and created a $91,824 prize pool.

TOFF7 took a large chunk of that, winning $11,048.70 for taking down Event #84.

His journey from shortest stack to champion started at the...

Final table

Seat 1: waytoray - 9,452,546Seat 2: wjscjfrb00 - 2,617,358Seat 3: caaarlserg - 7,553,253Seat 4: Taarps - 5,950,831Seat 5: AngelLV99 - 9,732,169Seat 6: archi239 - 7,353,238Seat 7: neafana - 3,956,190Seat 8: fartovick25 - 8,598,459Seat 9: TOFF7 - 2,175,956

waytoray doubled TOFF7 up after a flip at the second hand of play but then dealt an elimination the next.

Blinds were 125K/250K with a 31.25K ante and wjscjfrb00 raised to 600,000 from under-the-gun. caaarlsberg called from his immediate left and waytoray did the similar from the massive blind.

The flop came 9♦4♥2♥ and wjscjfrb00 moved all-in for 1.92 million. caaarlsberg folded and waytoray called with 9♠8♠.

wjscjfrb00 needed some help with A♦K♣ however the turn brought an 8♣ instead. The A♥ at the river was too little too late and wjscjfrb00 was eliminated in 9th, a finish worth $624.40.

Another quick one

A few hands later we had another flip and another elimination.

fartovick25 raised to 600,000 from the hijack and Taarps moved all-in from the massive blind for 5.78 million. fartovick25 called all-in with A♣Q♦ and Taarps tabled J♦J♠.

The board ran 6♠6♦9♣K♠2♦ and fartovick25 hit the virtual rail while.

fartovick25's 8th place finished earned the Ukranian $918.24 while Taarps chipped as much as 11.15 million.

My way or the waytoray

waytoray doubled up another player, lost the lead after which came vaulting back. The comeback and temporary dominating chip lead started with another elimination.

Blinds were as much as 200K/400K with a 50K ante and waytoray raised to 880,000 from middle position.

neafana moved all-in for 1.94 million when action folded to him within the big blind and waytoray called. Then we had another flip that fell in waytoray's favor.

neafana showed A♥T♥ and was up against waytoray's 5♦5♥. The board ran J♦2♦4♦J♠2♠ and neafana won $1,836.48 for finishing 7th.

This hand put waytoray back as much as 11 million and the Serbian player chipped as much as 14.5 million before taking an important lead.

waytoray raised to 1.32 million from the hijack and Taarps moved all-in for 7.2 million from the button. The blinds folded and waytoray called.

waytoray: J♥J♣Taarps: A♥K♦

It was waytoray's day for flips because the board ran 4♠6♦2♠3♣Q♣ and eliminated Taarps in 6th place. Taarps won $2,754.72 for the finish while waytoray took the lead with 23 million.

This gave waytoray about 40 percent of the chips in play with five players left.

Then waytoray's final table clout increased even more.

A few hands later, waytoray raised to 1.32 million again and action folded to archi239 at the big blind. archi239 moved all-in for 5.63 million and waytoray called.

This time waytoray was behind with 9♦8♦ to archi239's A♦3♦.

But things where going waytoray's way. The flop paired waytoray's nine and archi239 was out in 5th, earning $3,672.

Now waytoray had greater than half the chips in play with 31 million.

Turning tides

The way was paved with destruction, but then waytoray's massacre came to halt. First waytoray dipped to 26 million after doubling TOFF7's A♣K♣ up with A♥J♠.

Then waytoray lost the result in AngelLV99.

waytoray raised to 1.32 million from under-the-gun and caaarlsberg moved all-in for 4.26 million from the button. AngelLV99 called from the small blind and waytoray called as well.

The flop came J♦5♠5♦ and AngelLV99 moved all-in for 11.23 million. waytoray folded and showed one card, the J♠, while the opposite two players revealed both.

caaarlsberg: A♣T♣AngelLV99: 9♦9♥

An 8♠ came at the turn and a 6♣ wbecause the last card caaarlsberg saw this tournament. AngelLV99 took the lead with 24.92 million, waytoray dipped to 22.43 million and caaarlsberg won $4,591.20 for finishing 4th.

Falling angel

AngelLV99 had the lead while TOFF7 started three-handed play as the short stack with 10 million.

This quickly changed after TOFF7 moved all-in from the small blind with pocket fours and got called by waytoray's overcards.

The fours held up and TOFF7 doubled as much as 15.24 million.

Then AngelLV99 took a big hit. Blinds were 400K/800K with a 100K ante and AngelLV99 raised to 1.6 million from the button. TOFF7 folded and waytoray shoved for 12.64 million.

AngelLV99 called with Q♣J♦ and waytoray showed A♦5♣. The board came K♣7♥7♣6♣A♥ and waytoray doubled as much as 25.99 million while AngelLV99 dropped to 14.21 million.

Then things got worse for AngelLV99.

Two hands later, waytoray raised to 1.76 million and AngelLV99 re-raised to 2.72 million.TOFF7 folded and waytoray moved all-in.

AngelLV called with T♠T♦ and was sooner than waytoray's A♠T♣.

But it wasn't meant to be for AngelLV99.

The 9♣2♣5♦3♣Q♣ board brought four clubs and a flush for waytoray. AngelLV99 was out in 3rd -- taking $6,611.32 within the process-- and play went...

Heads up

waytoray - 41,194,704TOFF7 - 16,195,296

After a couple of small hands, players cut a deal and waytoray got guaranteed $11,179.54 while TOFF7 secured $10,058.70.

This still left $1,000 and MicroMillions glory for the champion.

In order to win, TOFF7 was wanting a double up.

With 400K/800K blinds and a 100K ante, waytoray raised to 1.6 million and TOFF7 made it 6.4 million. waytoray moved all-in for 39 million and TOFF7 called all-in.

waytoray: A♦9♥TOFF7: T♣T♦

The board ran 8♦Q♦7♣6♦2♣ and TOFF7 doubled as much as 36.39 million while waytoray dipped to 21 million.

Then it ended.

waytoray lost a couple of more million after which moved all-in for 15.42 million from the small blind. TOFF7 called and we had the overall showdown of the tournament.

waytoray showd K♦8♣ for his tournament life while TOFF7 had him dominated with A♥8♦.

The final board read Q♦3♠T♥3♦9♥ and TOFF7 became our newest MicroMillions champion.

waytoray won the agreed-upon $11,179.54 while TOFF7 took the additional $1,000 and boosted his earnings as much as $11,048.70.

Court Says California Must Allow Tribal Casino Gambling ExpansionNO Deposit bonus $43

Some California tribal casinos can be in a position to add new slot games without paying stiff new state taxes, in keeping with a court decision.

The U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a District Court decision that forces California to simply accept the rights of Indian tribes to incease total numbers of slots at tribal casinos. The brand new ruling means 10,000 more gambling machines can also be installed without tribes having to pay hefty new casino taxes the state demanded.

A 1999 care for then-Governor Gray Davis gave all of the sixty-one tribes that signed the appropriate to function 2000 gaming machines. The state placed a cap on total slots in California at 32,151, deciding that can tribes could be unlikely to approach the person limit.

But the expansion within the tribal casino industry meant the state limit was quickly reached, and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger pushed tribes wanting more machines to comply with large new payments to the state. The brand new compacts allowed larger tribes to head well beyond the 2000 game limit, but tribes still to not that number were asked for more revenue for permission to head over the state cap.

A US District Court judge ruled in August that tribes still complying with the 1999 deal are eligible to expand gaming to the 2000 slot standard, and now the appellate court has agreed with the decision.

While state spokemen say they are going to continue the appeal, tribal representatives are moving forward to put in new casino games.

"The state can say whatever they want," San Pasqual attorney Stephen Solomon told the Saramento Bee. "At this point, we have now prevailed."
