The Golden State Warriors are the best team in NBA regular season history, in keeping with the record books, after breaking the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls all-time wins record of 72. Golden State won four straight games to finish the schedule, including win No. 73 over the Memphis Grizzlies Wednesday night.

And while the soldiers are the legit record holders, the controversy rages on whether Stephen Curry & Co. could actually beat Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and the remainder of the 95-96 Bulls.

This is an issue with none answer – or a minimum of not until we determine the entire flux capacitor thing. But we at Covers can a minimum of discover which side – Golden State or Chicago – will be the oddsmakers’ favorite. We tossed the question to oddsmakers, bookies and bettors, asking them to set a variety on a fictional neutral-court matchup between the 73-win Warriors and the 72-win Bulls.

“Golden State -3 – just taking a stab at it. I figure the Bulls are pretty much as good then because the Warriors are now, and I’d must lean to Golden State playing within the rules they have got now. Now, if it was back in 1995-96, with those rules, maybe Bulls -3. A couple of 6-point swing dependent on which rules or time you’re playing in. 

“Each team has smart players who would comply with the principles their playing throughout the. difference between the Michael Jordan-led Bulls and Stephen Curry-led Warriors is there’s more of a team element with Golden State after which you had those big stars for Chicago. It was Jordan’s team and he was the central focus. And Curry, though he gets his statistics, is more in regards to the team.”

"Under today’s rules, I'D post the Bulls as 3.5-point favourites. The Bulls’ size could be an element. Over the process a game, the Bulls could be capable of wear down the soldiers. The soldiers would have some serious matchup issues against the Bulls. The soldiers don't seem to be a perfect rebounding team while the Bulls had Dennis Rodman – who's a related this is why the Bulls would win. The soldiers would haven't any answer for Rodman.

"Michael Jordan would visit town under today’s rules. Jordan averaged 30 points per game while getting mauled. Imagine what he could do when nobody is permitted to the touch him. Also, Jordan was a super defender and the competitor in him would need to defend Curry. And, of course, his competitiveness and killer instinct. He wouldn't allow the Bulls to lose to the Warriors."

It’s hard to match two teams from different generations as a result of emphasis of the massive man and elegance of the sport within the early to late 80’s into the mid 90’s.”

"The Bulls must be the favorites, in response to public perception alone. That team had three Hall of Famers and had won three previous titles. Golden State doesn't have any surefire Hall of Famers yet - sorry Steph - and they have just one title under their collective belts - a title that came, in part, when you consider that every team they faced during their entire postseason run had significant injuries on the point guard position. The entire bettors who understand that Bulls team would knee-jerk bet Chicago, because that was the best team any folks ever saw. Bulls -2.5/-3 can be my guestimate."
