Australian casino developer James Packer and singer Mariah Carey are engaged, according to various media reports.

The announcement came last week for the pair, who have been dating about a year. The billionaire gambling boss owns Crown Resorts, which is actively working toward a new casino in Antigua and Barbuda with actor Robert DeNiro. He’s also friends with the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio.

In addition to recently opening a new casino in Macau, Packer is also planning a casino in Las Vegas, which would be his first property in Sin City. Previous U.S. casino investments for Packer didn’t panned out.

The news hasn’t been all pretty lately for Packer. Earlier this month, there were reports that Packer and another Crown executive got into a physical and verbal altercation with a security guard at their own casino. According to Forbes, Packer has a net worth of $3.7 billion, making him the 291st richest person in the world. Though, his net worth has been falling, down from more than $4 billion last year.
