Woman Charged With Drugging Horses To Rig Races At Parx

A Bucks County woman was arrested after she allegedly administered performance-enhancing drugs to racehorses, the Attorney General’s office announced. Marian Vega, 25, a groom on the Parx Casino and Racing facility in Bensalem, was charged with one count of rigging a publicly exhibited contest. She was released on $20,000 unsecured bail to await a preliminary hearing. In line with the Attorney General’s office, Vega administered doses of the drug Clenbuterol to numerous horses that was beyond “accepted guidelines.”

Atlantic City Casino Robbed By Security Guard It Fired

A city man is facing 15 years in prison after admitting to robbing the Caesars Casino after he was fired from his job there. Izyiah Plummer, 21, pleaded guilty to first-degree armed robbery, conspiracy, aggravated assault and weapons offenses. His sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 18 in Superior Court in Mays Landing. Two other defendants who were indicted with Plummer.

Woman Stole $1.7M From Minnesota Employer, Lost Most At Casino

Three-plus years in prison is the sentence for a lady who stole $1.7 million over a few years from her employer in southern Minnesota and blew most of it on gambling. Diane M. Eiler, 48, of Bird Island, Minn., was sentenced in federal court in Minneapolis to a few and a half years in prison and ordered to make full restitution to AgQuest Financial Services, of Morgan, her employer for greater than 15 years until her stealing was revealed. “Eiler systematically abused the trust of her employer to steal greater than $1.7 million,” said Assistant U.s.a. Attorney Joseph H. Thompson.

Man Accused Of Stealing $34K From Students, Gambling It Away

A sixty-year-old man is accused of scamming 24 students out of greater than $34,000 on the Renaissance School of Excellence, a massage school in southwest Houston. Consistent with court records from March to July 2016, Tony Ho began collecting money from students. He told them that the money was for tuition. As opposed to turning it over to the school, police say he kept it. It was a grand total of $34,450. Ho then allegedly took that money to Louisiana where he gambled all of it away at a casino. Court documents allege that Ho admitted he had a gambling problem to the school’s owner. The 2 men agreed on a repayment plan of $2,000 a month. But after he paid back $4,000, Ho stopped paying.

Ex-cocktail Waitress To Plead In $420,000 Casino Slots Scam

A former cocktail waitress at a northeastern Pennsylvania casino has agreed to plead guilty to her alleged role in a $420,000 slot machine scam. Federal prosecutors in Scranton say 38-year-old Rochelle Poszeluznyj conspired with a gambler and an executive on the Mohegan Sun Pocono casino. Those men haven't begun to be charged. Consistent with court documents, the previous waitress would pass on player’s club information from gamblers and pass it onto the others, who used it to assign greater than $478,000 in free slots play to the alleged gambling co-conspirator. He used the free play to win greater than $422,000, which the trio allegedly shared. A signed plea agreement indicates the waitress plans to plead guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering in federal court.

A poker player in New Hampshire is suing a charity poker site after a metal drop box fell on his foot during a tournament. Poker player Justyn Tyndaal filed suit over the incident that happened in April on the Rockingham Park gambling facility in Salem. The suit, which was filed in Rockingham County Superior Court, claims that Tyndall was seated at a poker tournament when an employee came to the table to take away the drop box attached to the table.
