Bradford - who had reconstructive surgery at the same knee within the offseason - suffered the same fate last year in St. Louis' Week 7 matchup against the Carolina Panthers and missed the Rams' last nine regular season games.
Before the injury, Sportsbook.ag had St. Louis' odds to wwithin the Super Bowl at 60-1 with a 32-1 shot to capture the NFC Conference Championship. Without the 2010 first overall pick in the fold for the impending season, the book needed to react fast.
"We've already bumped the Rams' Super Bowl odds to 75-1 and their NFC Champion chances to 38-1," said Peter Childs, an oddsmaker for the book.
Before their Week 3 preseason meeting with the Browns, the sportsbook listed St. Louis' season wins total at 7.5 (O-145), but if the inside track broke that Bradford would miss all the upcoming NFL campaign, those odds dropped to 6.5 (U-140).
St. Louis opens the 2014-15 season at home versus the Minnesota Vikings, and the books have taken note of the much different look the Rams can have on offense without the University of Oklahoma product under center.
"As for his or her Week 1 game against Minnesota, we are going to open the Rams as -4.5 faves because of the big downgrade with former backup Shaun Hill taking the snaps rather than Bradford," said Childs.
