What you're missing on PokerStars.tv

ps news thn.jpgHere on the PokerStars Blog, we pride ourselves on accurate, comprehensive, entertaining reports. We travel the globe on the lookout for the best poker stories and record them in overzealous, blathering (but heartfelt!) prose the likes of that you won't find many other places. But, hey, we will be able to only be such a lot of places at once, and there's a lot that goes on within the poker world.

Fortunately, our partners over at PokerStars.tv are simply blowing up with action. Whether it's poker you missed on TV or behind-the-scenes fun that you simply won't see anywhere else, PokerStars.tv has got it.

It's somewhat quiet at the live tournament front today, so we've had a couple of minutes to wander in the course of the PokerStars.tv archives and located some gems. For instance, here is a clip from the PokerStars Big Game wherein the infamous Tony G practices a professional little bit of needling on Phil Hellmuth in order to inspire villains worldwide. It also contains various instances of a specific four-letter word, and hence, didn't make the television cut.

If that could be a little too blue for you (otherwise you find the Villain-On-Villain action to be gratuitous), then take a look at the always-pleasant stylings of the UKIPT On Tour's Nick Wealthall.

If you have not had the risk to take a look at the show yet, it truly is an inspiration in the case of poker features and tour reports. It has life, beer, people, and, most importantly, Wealthall.

That is some distance of saying, there aren't many places you'll be able to hear a presenter begin his show with an excited, "Now, let's meet your host...ME! Now come on you big sillies, get on tour!"

Here's the most recent episode, you could also watch on PokerStars.tv.

Finally, in case you are like us, you've seen a large number of poker television on your day. But, have you ever seen how it's actually made?

All of these hole card cameras go somewhere, and PokerStars.tv has seen the interior sanctum.

As we prepare to visit the 2011 PCA, here is a look from PokerStars.tv of the way the 2010 PCA TV show was made.

See, that is what you're missing over at PokerStars.tv.

Now, get yourself over there!
