In an effort to best expand its online gambling operations into new areas, PokerStars is preparing for mobile gaming by purchasing Cecure Gaming. Cecure is a software developer focusing on gaming over mobile devices.
Cecure already operates its own mobile gambling brand, Aces Royal, and the purchase of the corporate is seen as PokerStars' first move in bringing its online poker kingdom to mobile phones and other mobile outlets.
Cecure have been seeking a buyer, having suffered poor customer development through the recession. No financial details of the deal were released.
"Accessing buyers and investors within the gaming market is notoriously difficult," said a Cecure spokesman. "WE'RE delighted to has been in a position to secure a deal for the sale of those assets."
While mobile gambling isn't available within the US, European markets are rapidly growing for the handiest type of gaming. PokerStars has perhaps the highest brand online, and corporate officials have the desire to make sure they stay sooner than market changes to advance their brand.
