PokerStars rolled out its schedule for this year's Spring Championship of Online Poker in April, and it was probably the most ambitious iteration of the storied event yet, with 55 events divided into three tiers of buy-ins apiece for 155 total tournaments. Evidently, they've decided to move even bigger as a 56th event have been added to the schedule.

SCOOP-56 may be a Progressive Super-Knockout event with buy-ins of $11 (low), $109 (medium), and $1,050 (high). Those will carry guarantees of $50,000, $150,000, and $250,000, respectively, and they will run as one-day tournaments on Monday, May 23 at 1:30 p.m. ET.

"With 12 events still being played on Monday, May 23, and interest within the three-day Main Event still high, PokerStars felt it might make sense and excite players if there has been an extra one-day event for everybody to still be capable to get entangled in," the corporate said in a press release.
