Draymond Green shakes up MVP Finals odds after huge Game 2NO Deposit bonus $43

USA TODAY Sports

Two games into the NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors have manhandled the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 2-0 series lead and if you happen to just checked out the scores you can probably think Steph Curry, and even Klay Thompson has been dominating.

But that hasn't exactly been the case, because it have been the Warriors' defense that has fueled their dominance of the Cavs and consequently there was a shakeup within the NBA Finals MVP odds.

The Warriors' Mr. Everything, Draymond Green, is now the -139 favorite to win the award for the Finals best player, in line with online sportsbook Sports Interaction, after a robust showing in Game 2.

Green scored 28 points on 11-of-20 shooting (55 percent), including 5-for-8 from three-point range, added seven rebounds, five assists and one steal. He's averaging 22.0 points (on 51.6 percent shooting including 7-14 from three), nine rebounds, six assists and 2.5 steals in the course of the Finals first two games.

Green was +350 to win the award previous to Game 2, behind the then favorite Curry, who was listed at -139.

Curry is now the second one favorite to win the award, but his odds are rather a lot behind Green's at +175. The two-time defending regular season MVP is averaging just 14.5 points per game, but remains to be contributing in other areas, averaging seven rebounds and five assists through the Finals.

Meanwhile at the other side of the ball, LeBron James must be the MVP of the Finals if the Cavaliers have any hope of coming back on this series. Despite averaging almost a triple-double to this point within the Finals (21.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 9.0 assists) it still seems like LeBron has to do more, but remains to be a live longshot to win the award at +600.
