Five things from the week on PokerStars.
We're now just days clear of the penultimate EPT festival, happening in Malta from next Tuesday.
The Portomaso casino hosts the Tour from October 18 to 29, with 84 events at the cards for players seeking to ring as much summer out of the year as possible.
The 12 day festival offers something for each more or less player, and partners with the Italian Poker Tour to supply various tournaments including a 10K event, a 25K and the 5K Main Event.
Away from the tables we've got quite a lot of #StarsFun activities lined up, including live Spin & Go, the EPT Player Lounge and player party, in addition to your chance to take out some frustration with laser tag, or building up your frustration in an Escape Room. Take a look at what's in store here.
While events in Malta haven't begun to get started, it is all kicking off in Melbourne Australia, where the Asia Pacific Poker Tour began earlier today.
It's the tenth season of the tour and Brad Kain in ring side at the side of Mateusz Pater providing live updates from begin to finish. You'll make amends for everything that's happened to this point here, with coverage inside the weekend.
The latest podcast, featuring High Roller regular Igor Kurganov, is now available...
"Joe starts the podcast with one of the disgusting anecdotes ever told on #EPTNotLive (that is saying something). Then, he and James preview the following slate of #EPT TV shows because of air on Channel 4 (UK & Ireland) and PokerStars.tv (remainder of the world).
"Igor Kurganov features in a single of these episodes - the EPT 12 Grand Final Super High Roller final table - and is that this week's special guest. He talks about his poker roots and his current obsession with virtual reality. Finally, Matt Broughton's friend Steve Fair answers questions about Matt Broughton in a Matt Broughton-themed edition of 'Superfan vs Stapes'."

Ever been frustrated that a fictional poker scene on TV just hasn't been right, or accurate, or fun? Well there has been a good exception to this last week which we wrote about at the Blog.
It came in an episode of Hooten & The Lady, a brand new series made by Red Planet Pictures and shown on Sky TV that truly gave poker fans a little bit credit.
Read more a couple of hand that admittedly we obsessed about greater than we should, here.
Ever heard of a streamathon? Well neither had we until this week. You can most likely guess what's involved, and who may well be behind it. As Lee Jones wrote this week, it's something that will get some interest on the earth of Twitch, while raising some money for a really perfect cause.
Read all about it here.
That's fascinated by this week. Good luck on the tables this weekend. Tweet us @PokerStarsBlog.
