Chen: T♥T♦Graham: Q♣T♠

Chen was in front and stayed that way on the A♥A♠4♦8♦4♥ run out.

He doubles up while Graham falls to fourteen. million in chips.

1am: Lucky double for GrahamLevel 23: Blinds - 60,000/120,000 (10,000 ante)

Andrew Graham attempted to transport all in for the large blind but if he didn't move all his chips in at once, the ruling was that he officially raised 1.635 million - which was for many of his stack. James Chen moved all in from the large blind and Graham called off for the small remainder before the cards went at their backs.

Graham: 8♠6♠Chen: A♠5♥

Graham was behind but had live cards and he took the lead on the 3♥8♣3♠ flop. Chen paired the 5♦ turn but it surely wasn't enough because the J♣ arrived at the end.

After Graham's double up Chen drops to right around 2 million in chips.

12:45am: Qi doubles through ChenLevel 23: Blinds - 60,000/120,000 (10,000 ante)

James Chen limped his small blind and called when Xuming Qi moved all in for 2.2 million. They were off to the races with Chen holding A♥9♦ and Qi the 2♠2♥.

Qi shot to the lead after flopping a collection at the 2♦Q♠K♣ before the 6♠ turn meant he'd locked up the pot. The 3♠ river a trifling formality and Chen was chopped all the way down to 3.075 million.

12:35am: Nan Hong eliminated in 4th place (HK$751,000)Level 23: Blinds - 60,000/120,000 (10,000 ante)

Nan Hong was our 4th place finisher after his river bluff-raise was picked off by James Chen.

The board read 7♦A♥5♣6♥5♠ and after Chen made a bet, Hong pushed all in excessive with a busted straight draw holding T♣8♣. Chen called it off with A♣9♥ which was way the most efficient of it to take us right down to three handed play.

"I haven't looked" Kaplan confessed, before turning over T♣3♠.

He was behind the Q♣J♥ of Qi but his cards were live. The K♥2♠9♣ was a nasty one for Kaplan along with his outs to a 10 now dead - they might complete a gut shot straight for Qi.

Kaplan's supporters rallied for a 3 however the deck wouldn't oblige with the 6♣ turn and J♦ locking up the pot for Qi and sending Kaplan home in 5th place.

12:05am: Kaplan doubles through QiLevel 22: Blinds - 50,000/100,000 (10,000 ante)

Shortstack Jordan Kaplan just found just a little breathing room after scoring a double up through Xuming Qi.

Kaplan got his six big blinds in preflop with K♠K♣ against Qi's Q♠Q♣ before the J♥A♣K♦ flop saw him hit a suite but brought a possible Broadway sweat.

The latest to hit the rail was Shengyu Li who ultimately lost a coinflip to Andrew Graham to seek out the exit.

Li opened to 220,000 from under the gun before Graham moved all in from the small blind with enough to hide Li's 1.35 million in total. Li called it off with A♠K♥ but was unable to triumph over Graham's T♠T♥.

Ogura: T♣9♠Graham: Q♦J♦

Ogura was behind and the 6♦Q♠A♠ was a nasty begin to keeping his tournament alive. Needing running cards Ogura couldn't do it because the 3♦ turn and 9♥ signalled the tip of his tournament run.

11:25pm: Aaron Lim eliminated in 8th place (HK$345,000)Level 21: Blinds - 40,000/80,000 (10,000 ante)

Australia's Aaron Lim was the following to fall.

Not long after Ko hit the rail, Lim got the last of his chips all in preflop with A♣9♦ against James Chen's 8♠8♣.

Not long after the bubble burst it was Tokuho Yoshinaga's turn to exit.

He got all in preflop with 4♣4♥ against the 9♠9♥ of Andrew Graham.

The 6♠5♦9♣ saw Graham hit a collection and left Yoshinaga with only running straight cards to return from behind and keep his tournament alive. The Q♣ turn, however, signalled the tip for Yoshinaga and he headed to the payout desk.

10:10pm: Double bubble as Tong Zhou and Canlin Chen depart simultaneouslyLevel 20: Blinds - 30,000/60,000 (5,000 ante)

We're right down to just 10 players now after Tong Zhou and Canlin Chen were both eliminated jointly on separate tables.

Chen moved all in from the small blind with 8♠8♣ only to run into Hong Nan's A♠A♥ within the big blind. Despite picking up a flush draw at the turn the Q♣2♣7♠5♣5♠ did not save Tong and his tournament was over.

MPC25 High Roller Canlin Chen.jpg

Canlin Chen (pictured left) awaits his fate

Tong got his money in good against James Chen and while Tong looked good to stick alive with the very best hand and just one card to come, an uncongenial river at the 8♥7♥8♠4♠T♠ saw Chen spike a 10 to knock Tong out.

As the 2 were sent home within the same hand they are going to split the 11th place prize money of HK$264,000.

9:55pm: Another bubble doubleLevel 20: Blinds - 30,000/60,000 (5,000 ante)

We're still at the bubble here after James Chen was all in and in danger against Tokuho Yoshinaga but secured the pot to stick alive.

Yoshinaga raised to 120,000 preflop and Chen defended his big ignorant of see a flop of 4♦3♦. After a check from Chen Yoshinaga continued for 90,000. The bet was met with a raise to 255,000 from Chen and when Yoshinaga moved all in, Chen called off for his tournament life.

Yoshinga: K♥K♣Chen: 4♦3♦

It was an overpair versus an enormous draw and Chen made a wheel at the A♣ turn to fasten up the pot. The 4♣ was merely a formality as Chen chipped as much as 1.7 million and Yoshinaga fell to 600,000.

James Chen

9:40pm: Canlin Chen lucky to circumvent bubblingLevel 20: Blinds - 30,000/60,000 (5,000 ante)

Canlin Chen just narrowly avoided bubbling once you have all in preflop with the worst hand against Takashi Ogura.

Ogura raised to 140,000 from the cutoff and when it got to Chen within the big blind, he moved all in for around 600,000. Ogura snapped it off and so they flipped up their hands.

Chen: A♦8♦Ogura: Q♥Q♦

Chen needed an ace or some diamonds to stick within the hunt, and while he missed the K♣K♥7♥ flop, the A♣ turn card saw him take the lead. He dodged the two-outer at the T♦ river and can live to play another hand.

Ogura drops to 1.1 million.

9:20pm: Chen doubles through GrahamLevel 19: Blinds - 20,000/40,000 (5,000 ante)

MPC23 High Roller champion James Chen is definitely on his approach to another title here after doubling up through start-of-day chip leader Andrew Graham.

Graham raised to 80,000 before Chen moved all in for a complete of 550,000. Graham snapped it off with A♣K♦ and saw he was flipping against Chen's 5♠5♣.

The T♦7♣J♠ flop brought some additional danger for Chen with Graham picking up a gut shot Broadway draw however the 6♣ turn and 2♥ river meant Chen would double up.

Graham now sits with 480,000 in play.

Sam Cheong has left us only some places wanting a payday once you have all in against Jordan Kaplan.

We arrived on the table to peer the board reading 5♠9♣8♣ and Cheong with all his chips within the middle. He had an open ended straight draw and two overs holding J♠T♠ and Kaplan held A♣5♥ for bottom pair.

Cheong jumped into the lead when the T♥ landed at the turn however the 5♣ river saw Kaplan trip as much as send Cheong packing.

"Oh my God" Cheong sighed on the sight of the river card.

Cheong makes an exit and Kaplan builds to around 900,000 in chips.

8:05pm: Lin straight to the leadLevel 18: Blinds - 15,000/30,000 (5,000 ante)

Aaron Lim won the APPT Seoul High Roller earlier this year and he's in a great spot to have a run at another title after seizing the chip lead here.

It was just Lim and MPC23 High Roller champion James Chen active within the hand with the board reading T♠7♠9♥3♥. Chen checked first to behave before Lim bet 170,000. Moving all in to hide Lim's 574,000 effective stack, Chen saw he was already drawing dead when Lim snapped him off with the nuts.

Lim: J♥8♥Chen: Q♣T♦

Chen had top pair but no river card could see him win the hand. He fell to 460,000 while Lim stacked up over 1.5 million for the chip lead.
