China's Alexandre Chieng won the HK $5,500 Main Event after beating a 270-player field. The 2013 APPT Macau champion stormed to an enormous chip lead early into Day 1 and not looked back as he continued his dominance inside the Day 2 final.
In the general hand, Japan's Masashi Sato moved all-in pre-flop for his last 157k tournament chips and was called by Chieng who was sitting with nearly 2.4m.
Sato: T♠6♥Chieng: J♠3♣
The board ran A♥A♣9♠K♥8♠ and Chieng's Jack kicker proved to be enough to seal the win.

Chieng's victory moves him into No. 8 at the Asia Player of the Year rankings - the exact same rank he finished with last season. The Chinese businessman has always been forthcoming about his pursuit of the highest rank.
"I wish to do what last year's winner did." said Chieng regarding Jian Yang who won two tournaments within the last two months to win the 2013 APOY title. It was an out-of-nowhere finish to the year and stunned Terry Fan who had held the highest rank for many of the season.
