Las Vegas Review Journal – Sports book operator CG Technologies has launched an upgrade to its mobile sports wagering application that developers said increases the opportunities for purchasers to bet on games.
CG Technologies CEO Lee Amaitis said the company, which operates race and sports books at eight Las Vegas resorts, generates roughly 60 percent of its wagers from its mobile wagering application.
The company has operated mobile sports wagering since 2012 and has some 20,000 registered users. Last year, greater than $3.5 billion was wagered in Nevada sports books.
Amaitis expects the upgraded application, which was softly launched last week, to grow the company’s percentage of wagers placed in the course of the mobile application and likewise increase the company’s overall wagering handle.
“If we’re to keep growing sports wagering in Nevada, then increasing the opportunities in the course of the new mobile app may help meet the customers’ demands,” Amaitis said.
The company desired to launch the appliance in time for the National Football League preseason, which began last week.
The new application offers several new features, including parlay cards which tie together two or more selections under one wager, future betting lines, which place odds on a team’s chances to win a championship, and further proposition wagers on individual games.
The application also includes offer/counter offer feature by which a customer can increase or decrease the scale of any wager, and continuous markets, where customers can wagering on changes to the cash line, spread or total while a game in in progress.
