JC Tran has always been considered a successful professional poker player, but his popularity has soared since this year's World Series of Poker. Tran had a robust run throughout the series, and capped it with an appearance on the main event final table.
As is the case often with players who reach the overall table, the large money sponsorship deals soon follow. That's the reality for Tran, who recently signed directly to join Team 888poker. Tran brings with him a plethora of achievements to his new team.
With Tran set to take part on the WSOP main event final table in November, the general table appearance will also be added to an extended list of accomplishments within the professional players career. In conjunction with the overall table appearance, Tran have been the arena Poker Tour's Player of the Year, reaching eight WPT final tables.
In addition to the WPT success, Tran also has two WSOP bracelets, and has won over $8 million in tournament earnings during his time as a professional. For Tran, the risk to sign the care for 888 puts him in line to be the third 888poker team member at this year's WSOP main event final table. The others are Michiel Brummelhuis and Jay Farber.
"I am extremely excited to work with 888poker and searching forward to a perfect experience," said Tran. "I WILL NOT wait to symbolize 888poker at my best and assist in any way possible."
While most players who reach the general table spend the months picking the brains of execs to organize for his or her final table experience, Tran needs only to select up the phone, with lots of his pro friends on speed dial. He also could draw on over a dozen years of expertise playing within the biggest pressure tournaments and cash games within the world.
